So, how can you use this digital tool to promote your blog, business or website affordably in this age of marketing where video is the new way to deliver content to your audience? There are many strategies and tactics that are involved, and this can prove to be a challenge for business owners to know the do’s and don’ts that are involved with different video platforms. Know Where to Post Videos

There are several options available for you to post videos online. If you have a blog, this is an excellent way to upload your video updates. This is especially true if your blog has a RSS feed.

Some businesses choose to market and promote videos via platforms such as Vimeo and YouTube. This allows them to reach a wider audience. Other social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter also allows your fans and followers to have immediate access to your videos.

Know What to Record

Like a television show or movie, the videos that you create must tell the audience a story that is engaging, creative and relatable. It does not matter whether you are promoting a service or a product, it is important that real people are in your videos. The people could be using the product or service in the video (in a successful way), or they could provide testimonials and reviews.

The video should only last a few minutes, while also telling the story in the most compelling way as possible. The end of the video should include a call to action that will tell the viewer the next step they should complete.

Know How to Write a Description

It is also important for your viewers to know what they will be watching in the video and how the video will benefit their lives or solve their problem before they push ‘play’. The description will let them know if it is in their best interest to watch the video. Always include a detailed overview of the contents of the video and be sure to highlight any of the key points you have included in the video.

On platforms, such as YouTube, it may be a good idea to include links in the description to your other social media profiles and your blog or website. By providing these links, you will give your audience multiple ways to contact you.

Video blogging should be an integral part of your marketing plan especially if you have an online presence. These tips will steer you in the right direction for creating engaging content and posting your videos on platforms that will increase your brand presence.
